VERSATILE AND COST-EFFICIENT COOLING SOURCE

Easystream II series is a versatile, cost-effective cooling source for most small and medium commercial air conditioning and industrial process applications offering powerful controls, simple installation, and sustainable refrigerant options. The units available in versions with water-cooled or air-cooled (condenserless) condensers for indoor use and are ideal for both replacement and new construction projects.

Easystream II meets the efficiency demands of today and the future but costs less to purchase and install than other chillers in its class. Value-added features include hydronic kits with pumps and water storage/expansion tanks, heat recovery exchangers, and more. All chillers shipped as factory-packaged systems, requiring only piping and field power to run.

SCROLL COMPRESSORS

PROVEN PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY

Easystream II chillers engage scroll compressors in tandem configuration (multiple scroll assemblies) with common suction and discharge piping and oil equalization that provides significant benefits over individual compressors with the same output, in particular, efficient capacity control and part-load performance – thanks to load-matching by running compressors individually or simultaneously. The operating sequence for manifolded compressors is arranged to equalize running hours for each individual scroll.

The compressor design has been optimized for smooth running, reliability, minimum vibration, and low sound emission. The system may run on refrigerant R410a or lower GWP gases, offering environment-safe cooling.

EVAPORATORS

BRAZED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS

Incorporating a brazed plate evaporator with improved plate geometry and optimized flow paths offers certain advantages. The most important of these are minimal approach temperature and reduced pressure losses.

A closer temperature approach enables higher evaporation temperature, thereby promoting improved compressor’s coefficient of performance (COP) and less energy use. With the reduction of pressure losses, required pump energy decreases, giving the customers a perfect opportunity for further savings.

The special design of evaporator plates guarantees consistent joints at the plate overlaps and assures leak-proof construction. Advanced plate geometry also ensures better metallurgical bonding, leading to optimal heat transfer efficiency.

FEATURES AND OPTIONS

  • Evaporation Control

    Accurate control of superheat at partial loads achieved with electronic expansion valves (EEVs). Fitting EEV permits a reduction in power consumption of up to 30% by controlling refrigerant flow and liquid injection in an evaporator at reduced head pressures.

  • Integrated Hydronic Modules

    Easystream II chillers can be packaged with single or dual inline pumps that come with highly efficient motors. With the unique high-precision machining, the tolerances used in the manufacture of pump impeller and casing are minimized, optimizing fluid flow paths and contributing to better pump efficiency. Optional storage tanks housed in separate cabinets are available in volumes from 250 to 400 liters, finished in thermal insulation, plastic outer coating, and equipped with necessary safety accessories, air vents, expansion vessels, filling and drain taps.

  • Heat Recovery

    High-temperature energy of the superheated refrigerant gas discharged by compressors can be turned into hot water through heat recovery options available for Easystream II chillers:

    • Desuperheater for partial heat recovery (up to 25% of the chiller output)
    • Total heat recovery system with heat exchanger installed in parallel to condensers (100% of chiller thermal capacity)
